Preforms

A preform is a pre-shrunk “container” made from shrink sleeve material and a basecap or adhesive label. The preform is especially designed to exactly fit any vial.

Available sizes:

Connexion sleeve preforms have been produced in over 75 different sizes.  These are available with a bottom label or a base cap for additional strength and protection.

We have also developed 14 base cap sizes to suit 99% of vials on the global market, with our without customers’ logo.

Added value of this concept:

– protection against breakage of vial,

– encapsulation of contamination on outside of vial,

– prevention of possible tampering with labels,

– tamper evident closure on caps of vials,

– guaranteed originality because of unique print,

– UV-blocking concept possible,

– opaque preforms for clinical trials.

The preforms are placed onto the conveyor by an operator, and the filled and sealed vials are placed into the preforms. They are then transported through the hot air tunnel which shrinks the sleeve to perfectly fit the vial.

All our preforms are produced in our validated, airconditioned cleanroom.
